Before Future, Migos, Gucci Mane, and Jeezy were the artists defining Atlanta's sound, DJ Scream was one of the DJs putting their records in rotation first. He built his name in a specific lane, hood-rich, crunk, trap, working alongside Shawty Lo, Crime Mob, and Trillville while the city's mixtape scene was still being built by DJ Jelly, DJ Monte, and the Aphilliates.
Decades later, he's a businessman and a brand: Big Facts podcast and network, a restaurant owner in Smyrna, Georgia, and founder of the Scream Foundation, his 501(c)(3) giving back to the community that built him.
